Numbers 18:15

Matthew's Bible 1537

All that breaketh the matryce of all fleshe that men brynge vnto the Lorde, both of man and beast, shall be thyne. Neuerthelater the fyrst borne of man shall be redemed, and the fyrst borne of vncleane beastes shal be redemed.

But the fyrst of the asse thou shalt bye out wt a shepe or if thou redeme him not: se thou breake his necke. All the fyrst borne of thy sonnes thou must nedes redeme. And se that no man appeare before me empty.

Sanctifie vnto me all the fyrst borne that open al maner matrices amonge the chyldren of Israel as wel of men as of beestes: for they are myne.

And for the redemynge of the two hundred and .lxxiij. whych are moo then the Leuites in the fyrstborne of the children of Israel,

And when Pharao was loth to let vs go, the Lord slewe all the fyrstborne in the lande of Egypte: as well the fyrst borne of men as of beastes. And therfore I sacrifice vnto the Lord al the males that open the matrice, but al the fyrst borne of my chyldren I must redeme.

And theyr redemptions shall be at a moneth olde, valued at fyue sycles of siluer, of the holye sycle. A sycle maketh twentye Geras.

Al the first borne that come of thine oxen & of thy shepe that are males, thou shalt halowe vnto the lord thy God. Thou shalt do no seruice wyth the fyrst borne of thy shepe:

let the priestes take it to them, euery man of hys acquayntaunce, and let them repayre the broken places of the temple in all places where ought is founde decayed.

and that we shulde bryng the fyrstlynges of oure dowghe, and of oure heaueofferynges, and the frutes of all maner trees, of wyne also and of oyle, vnto the priestes to the chestes of the house of oure God. And the tythes of oure lande vnto the Leuytes, that the Leuytes myghte haue the tithes in all the cytyes of oure mynystracyon.
