Neyther murmure ye as some of them murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

And the numbre of them that dyed in the plage, were .xiiij. thousand and seuen hundred: beside them that dyed about the busines of Corah.

But wyth whome was he depleased .xl. yeares? Was he not displeased wyth them that synned, whose carkases were ouerthrowen in the deserte?

I wyll smyte them wyth the pestilence and destroy them, & wyll make of the a greater nacion & a myghtier then they.

My mynd is therfore to put you in remembraunce, for as muche as ye ones knowe this, how that the Lord (after that he had deliuered the people out of Egypt) destroyed them which afterwarde beleued not.

therfor thus the Lorde doeth certyfye you: Beholde, I wyll vpset Semeiah the Nehelamite, and hys sede: so that none of hys shall remayne amonge thys people, and none of them shall se the good, that I wyl do for thys people, saith the Lorde, For he hath preached falsely of the Lorde.

And ther dyed in the plage .xxiiij. thousand.

But in manie of them had God no delite. For they were ouerthrowen in the wyldernes.

To whom sware he, that they should not enter into hys reste, but vnto them that beleued not?

And they brought vp an euel reporte of the land whych they had searched, vnto the chyldren of Israel saiynge: The lande whyche we haue gone throwe to searche it out, is a lande that eateth vp the inhabiters therof, and the people that we sawe in it are men of stature.

But Iosua the sonne of Nun and Caleb the sonne of Iephune which were of the men that went to serche the lande, lyued styll.

and ther went a fyre out from the Lord, and consumed them, & they dyed before the Lorde.

And there came out a fyre from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fyftye men that offered cense.

And the people chode wt Moses & spake saying: wolde God that we had perished when our brethren perished before the Lord.

& the asse sawe me and auoyded me thre tymes: or else (had she not turned fro me). I had surely slayne the and saued hyr a lyue.

A thousande shall fall beside the, and ten thousande at thy righthande, but it shall not come nye the.
