And there we sawe also gyauntes, the chyldren of Enack whych are of the gyauntes. And we semed in oure syght as it were greshoppers and so we dyd in their syght.
How shall we goo vp? Oure brethren haue discorraged oure hertes sayinge: the people is greater and taller then we, and the cyties are greate and walled euen vp to heauen, & moreouer we haue sene the sonnes of the Enakimes there.
That he sytteth vpon the circle of the worlde, and that al the inhabytours of the worlde are in comparison of him, but as greshoppers: That he spredeth out the heauens as a coueryng, that he stretcheth them out, as a tent to dwell in:
There were tyrantes in the world in those dayes. For after that the chyldren of god had gone in, vnto the daughters of men, & had begotten them chyldren, the same chyldren were the mightiest of the world, & men of renowne.
and people greate and tal, euen the children of the Enakyms, whyche thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard saye, who is able to stand before the children of Enack?

And he slue an Egipcian whyche was a man of a size, euen fyue cubytes longe, and in hys hand had a speare lyke a weuers beame. And the other went to hym wyth a waster and plucked the speare out of the Egipcians hande, and slue hym wyth hys speare.
& they ascended vnto the south & came vnto Hebron, where Ahiman was & Sesai and Thalmani the sonnes of Enacke. Hebron was bylt .vij. yere before Zoan in Egypt.
Neuerthelesse the people be strong that dwell in the lande, and the Cytyes are walled and exceadynge greate, and moreouer, we sawe the chyldren of Enack ther.
And that same ceason, Iosua wente and destroyed the Enakites oute of the mountaines, and out of Hebron, Dabir, and Auab, and oute of all the mountaines of Iuda, and oute of al the mountaynes of Israel. And Iosua destroyed them vtterlye wyth theyr cytyes.
Now therfore geue me thys mountayne, whyche the Lorde at that tyme promysed, for thou herdest at that tyme, how the Enakims were there, and how the cytyes were greate & walled. I trust the Lord wylbe wyth me, and I shal dryue them out as the Lorde sayd.
