Numbers 12:8

Vnto him I speake mouth to mouth and he seith the syght & the facion of the Lord, & not thorowe rydels. Wherfore then were ye not afraied to speake agaynst my seruaunt Moses?

But there arose not a prophete sence in Israell lyke vnto Moses, whom the Lorde knewe face to face,

Nowe we se in a glasse euen in a darke speakinge, but then shall we se face to face. Nowe I knowe vnperfectlye, but then shall I knowe euen as I am knowen.

And then I wyl take away myne hande, and thou shalte se my backe partes: but my face shall not be seene.

And the Lorde spake vnto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh vnto hys frende. And when Moses turned agayne in to the hoste, the ladd Iosua his seruaunte the sonne of Nun departed not out of the tabernacle.

He that heareth you, heareth me, and he that dispyseth you, despyseth me: & he that despyseth me, despiseth hym that sente me.

Henceforth call I you not seruauntes: for the seruaunt knoweth not what hys lorde doth. But you haue I called frendes, for all thynges that I haue heard of my father, I haue opened vnto you.

namely them that walke after the fleshe in the luste of vncleanes, and despyse the rulars. Presumpteous are they, & stubborne and feare not to speake euyl of them that are in authoritie.

whiche onelye hath immortalitie, and dwelleth in lyght that no man can attayne, whome neuer man sawe, neyther can se, to whom be honoure and rule euerlastynge. Amen.

But we all beholde the glorye of the Lorde with hys face open, and chaunged vnto the same similitude, from glorye to glory, euen of the spirite of the Lorde.

If I had not done workes among them which none other man dyd, they had not had synne. But now haue they sene, & yet haue hated both me & my father:

But as for me, I wil beholde thy presence in righteousnes: and when thy glory appeareth, I shall be satisfied.

Likewyse these dremers defyle the flesh, despyse rulars and spake euil of them that are in authorytye.

Whyche sonne beyng the bryghtnes of hys glorye, and verye Image of his substaunce, bearinge vp al thinges wyth the worde of hys power, hath in his owne persone pourged our synnes, and is sitting on the right hand of the maiestie on hygh,

He therfore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, whiche hath sente his holye spirite amonge you.

No man hath sene God at anye tyme. The onlye begotten sonne which is in the bosome of the father, he hath declared hym.

to fulfil that which was spoken by the Prophet saying: I wil open my mouth in similitudes, & will speake forth thynges whych haue ben kept secrete from the begynnyng of the world.

Then saide I: O Lord they will saye of me: Tush, they are but fables, that he telleth.

Thou sonne of man: put forthe a darcke speakinge, and a parable, vnto the house of Israel,

Whom wyll ye make me lyke, in fashion or ymage, that I maye be lyke him?

To whom then will ye liken God? or what simylitude wyll ye set vp vnto hym?

I will enclyne myne eare to the parable, and shewe my darke speach vpon the harpe.

Take hede vnto youre selues diligentlye as pertaynynge vnto youre Soules, for ye sawe no maner of ymage the daye when the Lorde spake vnto you in Horeb out of the fire lest ye marre your selues

Thou shalt make the no grauen ymage neyther any similitude that is in heauen aboue either in the earth beneth, or in the water that is beneth the earth.

whyche is the ymage of the inuisible God, fyrste begotten of creatures.

And it wylbe told to the inhabiters of thys land also, for they haue heard likewyse, that thou the Lord arte among thys people, & that thou art sene face to face, and that thy cloude standeth ouer them & that thou goest before them by day tyme in a pyller of a cloud and in a pyller of fire by night.

And when Aaron and all the chyldren of Israel loked vpon Moses and sawe that the skynne of his face shone with beames they were afrayde to come nye hym.

And he sayd: I wyl make al my good god before the, and I wyl be called in thys name Iehouah before the, & wil shew mercy to whom I shewe mercy, and wyll haue compassion on whom I haue compassion.

God in tyme paste diuerselye and manye wayes, spake vnto the fathers by Prophetes,

And Iacob called the name of that place Pheniel for I haue sene God face to face, & yet is my life reserued.

Thou shalte make the no grauen Image of anye maner lykenesse that is in heauen aboue, or in the earth beneth, or in the water beneth the earth.

he shalbe more apte to vnderstande a parable, & the interpretacion therof, the wordes of the wise, & the darke speaches of the same.

By a prophete the Lorde brought them oute of Egipt, and by a prophet he preserued them.

And the voyce of the horne blewe & waxed louder & louder. Moses spake, & God aunswered hym and that with a voyce.

And when Moses was gone in to the tabernacle of wytnesse to speke with hym, he harde the voyce of one speakyng vnto him from of the mercyseate that was vpon the arck of wytnesse: euen from betwene the two cherubyns he spake vnto hym.

The Lord thy God wyl sterre vp a Prophete amonge you: euen of thy brethren lyke vnto me: & vnto him ye shal herken
