But thou shalte appoynt the Leuites vnto the habitation of witnesse, and to all the apparell thereof and vnto all that longeth therto. For they shal bear the tabernacle and al the ordinaunce therof, and they shall minister it, and shall pytche theyr tentes rounde about it.

Thys is the summe of the habitacion of wytnesse, whych was counted at the commaundement of Moses: and was the offyce of the Leuytes by the hand of Ithamar sonne to Aaron the preast.

And when Aaron and his sonnes haue made an ende of coueryng the sanctuary & al the thinges of the sanctuarye, agaynst that the hoste remoue, then the sonnes of Cahath shall come in for to beare, & so let them not touche the sanctuary least they dye. And thys is the charge of the sonnes of Cahath in the tabernacle of wytnesse.

And when he had made an ende of commenyng wyth Moses vpon the mount Sinai he gaue hym two tables of witnesse: which were of stone and written with the fynger of God.

And I sayde vnto the Leuytes whiche were cleane, that they shulde come and kepe the gates, to halowe the Saboth daye. Thynke vpon me (O my God) concernynge this also, and spare me according to thy greate mercy.

And Moses lyfte vp hys handes wyth hys staffe, and smote the rocke two tymes, and the water came oute abundauntly, and the multitude dranke and the beastes also.

For ther the tribes go vp, euen the tribes of the Lorde: to testyfye vnto Israel, to geue thanckes vnto the name of the Lorde.

for he had made hym a greate cheste, and there had they afore tyme layed the meatofferynges, frankencense vessel, and the tythes of corne, wyne and oyle (accordynge to the commaundement geuen to the Leuytes, syngers & porters) and the heaueofferynges of the priestes.

In the tyme of Zorobabel and Nehemiah, dyd all Israel, geue porcyons vnto the syngers and porters, euerye daye his porcyon, and they gaue thynges halowed vnto the Leuytes, and the Leuites gaue thinges that were sanctyfyed, vnto the chyldren of Aaron.

And in the tyme of Eliasib. Ioiada, Iohanan & Iadua were the cheif fathers amonge the Leuytes, and the prestes wrytten vnder the raygne of Darius the Persian.

The Leuites were these: Iesua, Bennui, Cadmiel, Sarabiah, Iuda and Mathaniah ouer the offyce of thankesgeuyng, they and theyr brethren:

Then the Cahathites went forward and bare the holy thynges, and the other dyd set vp the habitacion agaynst they came.

And the tabernacle of wytnesse wyth the host of the Leuites, shall goo in the myddes of the hostes: as they lye in theyr tentes, euen so shall they procede in the iourney, euerye man in hys quarter about the standartes.

But the Leuites shall pytche rounde aboute the habitation of witnes, that there fall no wrathe vpon the congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shal wayte vpon the habitation of wytnesse.

And after that, I loked & behold the temple of the tabernacle of testimony was open in heauen,

And Moses put the roddes before the Lord in the tabernacle of witnes.

Then the kynge called Iehoiada that was the chefest, and sayde to him: Why requyrest thou not of the Leuytes to brynge in, out of Iuda and Ierusalem the summe apoynted by Moses the seruaunt of the Lorde, and by the congregacion of Israel, for the tabernacle of wytnesse.

from .xxx. yere & aboue vntyl fifty, al that were able to warre for to do the worke in the tabernacle of wytnesse.

and haue geuen them vnto Aaron and hys sonnes from amonge the chyldren of Israel to do the seruyce of the chyldren of Israell in the tabernacle of witnesse and to make an attonement for the chyldren of Israell, that there be no plage among the chyldren of Israel, yf they come nye vnto the sanctuary.

And Moses and Aaron and all the congregacyon of the chyldren of Israel did vnto the Leuytes accordynge vnto all that the Lord commaunded Moses.

And after that they went in, to do theyr seruyce in the tabernacle of wytnesse, before Aaron & hys sonnes. And acordyng as the Lord had commaunded Moses as concernyng the Leuites, euen so they dyd vnto them.

Wayte therfore vpon the holy place and vpon the alter, that there fal no more wrath vpon the chyldren of Israel:
