Therfore thus sayeth the Lorde: Beholde agaynst thys housholde haue I deuysed a plage, wherout ye shal not plucke your neckes: Ye shal nomore go so proudely, for it wyll be a perlous tyme.
And all they that remayne of thys wycked generacyon, shall desyre rather to dye then to lyue: wheresoeuer they remayne, & where as I scatre them, sayth the Lorde of hoostes.
Speake now therfore vnto whole Iuda, and to them that dwell at Ierusalem: Thus sayeth the Lorde: Beholde, I am deuysynge a plage for you, and am takynge a thynge in hande agaynst you. Therfore let euery man turne from hys euell waye, take vpon you the thinge that is good, and do ryght.
Phe The Lord hath fullfylled the thynge, that he was purposed to do: and perfourmed that he had dewysed longe a go: he hath destroyed and not spared. He hath caused thyne aduersary to triumphe ouer the, & set vp the horne of thyne enemye.
O wo vnto them, that Imagyn to do harme, & deuyse vngracyousnesse vpon their beddes, to perfourme it in the cleare daye: for there power is agaynst God.
Then dyd I Nabuchodonosor loue, magnifye and prayse the kynge of heauen: for all hys worckes are true, and hys wayes righte. As for those that go on proudely, he is able to brynge them doune.
Nun. The yocke of my transgressyon is come at the last, with his hande hath he taken it vp, & put it aboute my neck. My strength is gone: the Lorde hath delyuered me in to those handes, wherout I can not quyte my selfe.

All these thynges tolde I Zedekiah the Kynge of Iuda, and sayde: Put youre neckes vnder the yocke of the Kynge of Babylon, & serue hym & hys people, that ye maye lyue.
Whiche vse to speake on thys maner: let hym make haste nowe, & go forthe with his worcke, that we maye se it. Let the councell of the holye one of Israel come, and draw nye, that we maye knowe it.
Moreouer thus sayth the Lorde: Seynge the doughters of Sion are become so proude, and come in with stretched oute neckes, and with vayne wanton eyes: seynge they come in tryppynge so nycely with their fete:
therfore thou shalt serue thyne enemye which the Lord shall sende vpon the: in hunger and thrust, in nakednesse and in nede of all thynge: & he shall put a yocke of yeron vpon thyne necke, vntyll he haue broughte the to nought.
