Thys is the worde of the Lord that came vnto Micheas the Morastite, in the dayes of Iothan, Ahas & Iehezekiah kinges of Iuda: which was shewed hym vpon Samaria & Ierusalem.

And all this shall be for the wyckednesse of Iacob, and the synnes of the house of Israell. But what is the wyckednesse of Iacob? Is not Samaria? Whiche are the hye places of Iuda? Is not Ierusalem?

O wo be to the proude welthy in Syon to suche as thincke them so sure vpon the mounte of Samaria? which holde them selues for the beste of the worlde, and rule the house of Israel, euen as they lyst.

they haue forgotten him that made them, they buylde churches, and Iuda maketh manye stronge cities: therfore will I sende a fyre into their cities, and it shall consume their places.

Though thou Israel art disposed to play the harlot, yet shouldest not thou haue offended, O Iuda: thou shouldest not haue runne to Galgala, nor haue gone vp to Bethauen, nor haue sworne, the Lord lyueth.

And the chefe cytye of Ephraim is Samaria, but the heade of Samaria is Romelies sonne. And yf ye beleue not, there shall no promyse be kepte wyth you.

This is the heauye burthen, whiche the Prophet Abacuc did se.

For the scrypture came neuer by the wyl of man, but holye men of God spake as they were moued by the holy ghoste.

And the Lorde smote the kynge, that he was a leper vnto the daye of hys death, and dwelte in an house at lybertye, and Iotham the kynges sonne gouerned the house and iudged the people of the lande.

The seconde yeare of Phakeh sonne of Romeliah kynge of Israel, beganne Iotham the sonne of Oziah kynge of Iuda to raygne.

The thyrde yeare of Hosea sonne of Ela, kynge of Israell raigned Hezekiah sonne of Ahaz kyng of Iuda.

Ahaz was .xx. yere olde when he beganne to raygne, & raygned .xvi. yere in Ierusalem. And he dyd not that pleased the Lorde, as dyd hys father Dauid:

Hezekiah beganne to raygne when he was .xxv. yere olde, & raygned .xxix. yere in Ierusalem. And hys mothers name was Abiah the daughter of Zachariah.

It happened in the time of Ahaz the sonne of Ioatham, whiche was the sonne of Oziah kyng of Iuda: that Razin the kyng of Syria, and Phakeh the sonne of Romeliah, kynge of Israel wente vp towarde Ierusalem to besege it, but wanne it not.

O heare this ye rulers of the house of Iacob, and ye iudges of the house of Israell: ye that abhorre the thynge that is laufull, and wrayst asyde the thynge that is streyght.

Heare O heauen, herken O earth, for the Lord speaketh: I haue norysshed & brought vp chyldren, and they are fallen awaye from me.
