When Iesus was entred into Capernaum there came vnto him a certayne Centurion, & besought him

When the Centurion and they that were with hym watchinge Iesus, sawe the earth quake and those thinges whiche happened they feared greatly sayinge: Of a surtye this was the sonne of God.

But the vnder captaine willing to saue Paule, kepte them from their purpose, and commaunded that they that could swyme, should cast them selues first into the sea, and scape to land.

Paule sayed vnto the vnder captaine, and the souldiers: excepte these abyde in the shyp, ye can not be safe.

And Paul called one of the vnder captaynes to hym, and sayde: brynge thys yongemen to the hye captayne, for he hathe a certayne thinge to shewe hym.

and left Nazareth, and went and dwelt in Capernaum, which is a citye vpon the sea, in the coastes of Zabulon & Nephthalim,

When the south wind blewe, they supposynge to obtayne theyr purpose, loused vnto Asson and sailed paste al Candy.

And he called vnto hym two vnder captaynes, saiynge: make readye two hundred souldyers to go to Cesarea, and horsmen thre score and ten, and speare men two hondred at the thyrde houre of the nyght.

And as they bounde hym with thonges, Paule sayde to the Centuryon that stode by. Is it lawfull for you to scourge a man that is a Romayne and vncondempned?

And when the Centurion which stode before him, sawe that he so cried and gaue vp the ghost he sayde: truly this man was the sonne of God.

After a feawe dayes, he entred into Capernaum agayne, & it was noysed that he was in a house

Then he entred into a shyppe & passed ouer and came into his owne citie.

And thou Capernaum, which art lyft vp vnto heauen, shall be brought doune to hell. For if the miracles which haue bene done in the, had be shewed in Zodome: they had remayned to this daye.

Because Lidda was nye to Ioppa, and the discyples had hearde, that Peter was there, they sent vnto hym, desieringe hym that he would not be greued to come vnto them.
