As for these thynges, my hande had made them all, and they are all created, sayeth the Lorde. Whyche of them shall I then regarde? Euen hym, that is of a lowly troubled spyryte, and standeth in awe of my wordes.

After pryde commeth a fal, but a lowly spirit bringeth great worshippe.

The Lorde is nye vnto them that are contryte in hert, and will helpe suche as be of an humble sprete.

Better is it to be of humble mynde with the lowly, then to deuyde the spoyles wyth the proud.

I tell you: this man departed home to hys house iustifyed more then the other. For euerye man that exalteth hym selfe, shalbe brought lowe. And he that humbleth hym selfe, shalbe exalted.

yet yf my people that are named after my name, shall humble themselues & make intercessyon & seke my presence, & turne from their wicked wayes, then wyll I heare from heauen and be mercyfull to theyr synnes, & wyl heale theyr lande.

The sacryfice of God is a troubled spirit a broken and a contrite hert, O God, shalte thou not despyse.

For thus sayeth the hye and excellent, euen he that dwelleth in euerlastingnesse, whose name is the holy one. I dwell hye aboue & in the sanctuary, and with him also, that is of a contrite & humble spirite: that I maye heale a troubled mind, & a contrite hert.

Harken my deare beloued brethren. Hath not God chosen the pore of thys world, which are ryche in faythe, and heyres of the kyngedome whiche he promysed to them that loue hym?

The spirite of the Lorde God is with me, for the Lorde hath annointed me, & sent me, to preache good tydinges vnto the poore, that I myght binde vp the wounded hertes, that I myght preach delyueraunce to the captyue, and open the preson to them that are bounde:

Because thyne hert dyd melt & thou dydest meke thy selfe before God, when thou heardest his wordes agaynst this place and agaynste the enhabiters therof: & humbledest thy selfe before me, and tarest thy clothes and wepest before me, that haue I hearde also sayth the Lorde.

I wyll shewe the, O man, what is good, & what the Lorde requyreth of the: Namely, to do right, to haue pleasure in louynge kyndnesse, to be lowlye, and to walcke wyth thy God:

But he sayde: Yea, happye are they that heare the worde of God, and kepe it.

Prayse the euerlastynge. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, and hath great delite in hys commaundementes.

O blessed is the man, that goeth not in the counsayll of the vngodly: that abydeth not in the waie of sinners and sitteth not in the seate of the scorneful.

Wherfor I geue myne owne selfe the blame, and take repentaunce in the duste and asshes.

At that time Iesus aunswered and said: I prayse the, O father Lorde of heauen and earth, because thou hast hid these thinges from the wyse and prudent, and hast opened theim vnto babes:

The spyryte of the Lorde vpon me, because he hath anointed me: to preache the gospell to the poore he hath sent me, and to heale the broken herted, to preache deliueraunce to the captiue, and syght to the blynde, and frely to set at lyberte them that are brused,

When Iesus sawe that he was displeased, and sayed to them. Suffer the chyldren to come vnto me, and forbyd them not. For of suche is the kyngdom of God.

But blessed are your eyes, for they se: and your eares, for thei heare.

Yet standeth the Lorde waytynge, that he maye haue mercye vpon you, and lyfteth hym selfe vp, that he maye receyue you to grace. For the Lorde God is ryghtuous. Happy are all they that wayte for him.

Blessed is he that hath the God of Iacob for his helpe, and whose hope is in the Lord hys God.

And when he was in trybulacyon he besonght the Lorde his God, & humbled hym selfe exceadynglye before the God of hys fathers,

To the chaunter, a Psalme of Dauid. Blessed is he, that consydereth the poore: the Lord shal deliuer him in the tyme of trouble.

Kysse the sonne, lest the Lorde be angrye and so ye peryshe from the ryght way. For his wrath shalbe kindled shortly: blessed are all they that put their trust in hym.

O Lorde God of Hostes, blessed is the man that putteth his truste in the.

And thinke on all the waye whych the lord thy God ledde the this .xl. yere in the wildernesse, for to humble the and to proue the, to wete what was in in thyne herte, whether thou wouldest kepe his commaundements or no,

and the ryche in that he is made lowe. For euen as the flower of the grasse, shal he vanysh away.

Therfore herken vnto me, O ye chyldren, for blessed are they that kepe my wayes.

And his prayer & how that he was hearde, & all his synne & trespace, and the places where he made hylaulters and set vp groues & kerued Images before he was mekened, are written amonge the deades of the sears of visyons.

Blessed are they that do his commaundementes that theyr power maye be in the tree of lyfe, & maye enter in thorowe the gates into the cite.

And he sayed vnto me, happye are they whyche are called vnto the Lambes supper. And he said vnto me, these are true sayinges of God.

Then shal the kinge saye to them on his right hand. Come ye blessed chyldren of my father, enheryte ye the kingdome prepared for you from the begynninge of the worlde.

The song of the steares. Blessed are all they that feare the Lord, & walke in his wayes.

And happye is he that is not offended by me.

I say therfore vnto you that many shall come from the east and west, and shal rest with Abraham, Isaac and Iacob in the kingdome of heauen:

saying: Repent the kingdome of heauen is at hande.

But Iesus sayd suffer the chyldren and forbid them not to come to me: for of suche is the kyngdome of heauen.

And I appointe vnto you a kyngdome, as my father hath appointed to me,

that ye maye eate and drinke at my table in my kingdome, and syt on seates, and iudge the twelue tribes of Israel.

because thou art ryche and increased wyth goodes, and hast nede of nothinge, and knowest not howe thou art wretched and miserable, poore, blind and naked.
