Shame shall come vpon the, for the malyce that thou shewedest to thy brother Iacob: yee for euermore shalt thou perysh,

A wyse man feareth, and departeth from euel, but a foole goeth on presumptuously.

Then shall the kinge saye vnto them that shalbe on the lyfte hande. Departe from me ye cursed, into euerlastinge fyre, which is prepared for the deuyll and hys angels.

Ye serpentes and generacion of vppers howe shoulde ye scape the damnacion of hell?

Wo be vnto you Scribes and Phariseis hypocrites: which compasse sea and lande, to brynge one into youre belefe: and when he is brought ye make hym two folde more the chyld of hell: then ye your selues are.

Whyle he yet speake, beholde a bryght cloude shadowed theim. And beholde there came a voyce out of the cloude, sayinge: this is my deare sonne, in whome I delite heare hym.

Then Nabuchodonosor in a cruell wrathe, and displeasur, commaunded that Sidrach, Misach and Abednago shulde be broughte vnto hym. So these men were broughte before the kynge.

Zade. Myne enemyes hunted me out sharpely, lyke a byrde, yee and that without a cause

The dysceytfull maketh a nest, but bryngeth forth no yonge. He commeth by ryches, but not ryghtuously. In the middest of his life must he leaue them behinde hym, and at the last be founde a very foole.

A fooles lippes are euer brawling, and his mouth prouoketh vnto battayll.

An vnwyse man will not knowe thys, and a foole will not vnderstande it.

They that hate me without a cause, are mo then the heeres of my head: they that are myne enemyes & wolde destroye me giltlesse are mighty: I am fayne to paye the thinges that I neuer toke.

For it shalbe sene, that such wyse men shal dye and perysh together, as wel as the ignoraunt and folysh, and leue their goodes for other.

O let them not triumphe ouer me, that are myne enemyes for naught: O let them not winke with their eyes, that hate me without a cause.

For all they that hope in the shall not be ashamed: but suche as be scornefull despysers without a cause they shall be put to confucyon.

To the chaunter, of Dauid. The folyshe bodyes saye in their hertes: tushe, there is no God. They are corrupt, & become abhominable in their doynges, there is not one that doth good.

and sayde vnto them: we (after oure abilyte) haue bought oure brethren the Iewes, which were solde vnto the heythen. And wyll ye sell youre brethren, whom we haue boughte vnto vs? Then helde they theyr peace, and coulde fynde nothynge to aunswere.

Whervpon Asa was wrothe with the sear and put hym in the conuertynge house, for he was dyspleased wyth him because of that. Moreouer Aza oppressed certayne of the people the same ceason.

Then went Ahab vnto his house wayward and euyl apaide, because of the wordes which Naboth the Iezrahelite had spoken to hym saying. I will not geue to the the enheritaunce of my fathers. And he layde him doune vpon hys bed and turned awaye his face, & woulde eate no meate.

And thus sayde this Semei as he cursed: come forthe, come forthe thou bloudesheder and thou vnthriftye man.

Then Dauid returned to salute hys housholde. And Michol the doughter of Saul came out agaynst hym, and sayde: Oh how gloryous was the kynge of Israel to day, which strypte hym selfe to daye before the eyes of the maydens of hys seruauntes, as a lyght brayned felowe is wont to strype hymselfe.

Than sayd hys brethren vnto hym: what, shalt thou be our kyng or shalt thou reygne ouer vs? And they hated him yet the more, because of hys dreame and of hys wordes.

Iudges and officers thou shalt make the, in all thy gates which the Lord thy God geueth the thorowout thy trybes: & let them iudge the people ryghtuously.

And he sent iudges in the lande, thorow oute all the stronge cities of Iuda, cytye by cytye

And assone as it was daye the elders of the people and the hyghe priestes an scribes came together, and ledde him into their counsell saiynge:

But they commaunded them to go a syde out of the counsell, and counceled amonge them selues

When they heard that, they entred into the temple early in the mornynge and taught. The chiefe Prieste came & they that were with him, and called a counsell together, and all the elders of the children of Israell, & sent to the prison to fetche them.

And they moued the people and the elders and the scribes: and came vpon him and caught hym,

And al that sate in the counsel loked stedfastlye on hym, and saw hys face as it had bene the face of an aungel.

On the morowe because he woulde haue knowen the certaintye wherfore he was accused of the Iewes, he loused hym from his bondes, and commaunded the hye Priestes and all the counsell to come together, and brought Paule and set hym before them.

Paul behelde the counsell & said: men and brethren. I haue liued in al good conscience before God vntyll thys day.

or els let these same here saye, yf they haue founde anye euyll doynge in me, whyle I stand here in the councell:
