Thinke not that I am come to destroy the lawe, or the prophetes: no I am not come to destroy them, but to fulfil them.

For Christe is the ende of the lawe, to iustifye all that beleue.

Soner shall heauen & earthe peryshe, then one title of the lawe shal perish.

and by synne dampned synne in the fleshe: that the ryghtuousnes requyred of the law myghte be fulfylled in vs, which walke not after the flesh but after the spirite.

Do we then destroye the lawe thorowe fayth? God forbyd. But we rather mayntayne the lawe.

and brought him to the counsell and brought forth false witnesses whiche sayde. This man ceaseth not to speake blaspemous wordes against thys holy place, and the lawe,

Moyses in the lawe commaunded vs that suche shoulde be stoned. What sayest thou therfore?

criyng: Ye men of Israell, healpe. Thys is the man that teacheth all men euerye where agaynste the people and the lawe, and this place. More ouer also he hath brought Grekes into the temple, & hath polluted thys holy place.
