Blessed are ye when men reuile you and persecute you, and shal falsely say al maner of yuel sayinges against you for my sake.

If ye be railed vpon for the name of Christ, happie are ye. For the spyryte of glorye, and the spyryte of Gad resteth vpon you. On theyr parte he is euyll spoken of, but on your parte he is glorified.

And hated shall ye be of all men for my names sake.

And ye shal be hated of all men for my names sake. But whosoeuer shall endure vnto the ende, the same shalbe safe.

Then shall they put you to trouble, and shall kyll you: and ye shalbe hated of all nacions for my names sake.

Blessed are ye when men hate you, and thruste you out of their companye, and rayle, & abhorre youre name as an euill thinge, for the sonne of mans sake.

which when he was reuyled, reuyled not agayne: when he suffered, he threatened not: but commytted the cause to him that iudgeth ryghtuously,

But all these thinges wyll they do vnto you, for my names sake, because they haue not knowen him that sent me.

and ye shal be hated of all men for my name. But he that endureth to the ende shalbe saued.

Heare the worde of God all ye, that feare the thynge whyche he speaketh. Your brethren that hate you, and cast you out for my names sake, saye: Let the Lorde magnyfye him selfe, that we may see youre gladnesse: and yet they shalbe confounded.

He that findeth hys lyfe, shal loose it: and he that looseth hys lyfe for my sake, shall fynde it.

and dydest washe thy selfe. And hast pacience, and for my names sake hast labored and hast not faynted:

And whosoeuer forsaketh houses, or brethren, or systers, other father or mother, or wyfe or chyldren, or landes, for my names sake, the same shal receyue an .C. folde, & shal enherite euerlasting life.

For we whiche lyue are alwayes delyuered vnto deathe for Iesus sake, that the lyfe also of Iesu myghte appeare in oure mortall fleshe.

We are foles for Christes sake and ye are wise thorow Christe. We are weake, and ye are stronge. Ye are honorable, and we are despised.

As it is wrytten: For thy sake are we killed al day longe, and are counted as shepe appointed to be slayne.

But before all these, they shall laye their handes on you and persecute you, delyueringe you vp to the Synagoges & into pryson, and bringe you before kinges and rulers for my names sake.

Whosoeuer wyll saue his lyfe, shall lose it. And whosoeuer shall lose his lyfe for my sake, the same shall saue it.

For whosoeuer wil saue his lyfe. shall lowse it. But whosoeuer shal lowse his life for my sake and the gospels: the same shall saue it.

It is ynough for the discyple to be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as hys Lorde is. If they haue called the good man of the house him selfe belzebub: how muche more shal they call them of his housholde so?

For I wil shew hym howe greate thinges he muste suffer for my names sake.

But for thy sake we are kylled all the daye longe, and are counted as shepe apoynted to be slayne.

But take ye hede to your selues. For they shall brynge you vp to the counsels, and into the synagoges, & ye shall be beaten: ye & shalbe broughte forthe rulers & kynges for my sake for a testimoniall vnto them.

They that passed by, reuyled hym wagginge their heades

yet haue no rotes in them selues: and so endure but a tyme: and anone as trouble and persecucyon aryseth for the wordes sake, they fall immediatlye.

And ye shalbe brought to the head rulers and kinges for my sake, in witnes to them & to the gentyls.

Then rated they him, & sayde: thou arte hys disciple: we be Moyses discyples.

False witnesses are rysen vp, and laye to my charge thinges that I know not.

As for death, he shal vtterly consume it. The Lord God shall wype awaye teares from all faces, & take away the confusion of his people thorow the whole worlde. For the lord hym selfe hath sayde it.

Therfore herken vnto me, ye that haue pleasure in rightuousnes, thou people that bearest my lawe in thyne herte. Feare not the curse of men, be not afrayde of theyr blasphemies & reuylynges:

Then sayde Ieremy: It is not so, I go not to the Caldees. Neuertheles Ieriah woulde not beleue him, but brought Ieremy bounde before the Prynces.

For vnto you it is geuen, that not onely ye should beleue on Christ, but also suffre for his sake,
