The names of the .xij. Apostles are these. The fyrst Simon called also Peter: and Andrewe his brother. Iames the sonne of Zebede, and Iohn his brother:

Symon whom he named Peter, & Andrewe his brother, Iames and Ihon, Philippe and Bartelmewe,

And I saye also vnto the that thou arte Peeter: and vpon thys rocke I wil buylde my congregacion. And the gates of hell shall not preuayle against it.

Then Iesus went awaye from thence, and came vnto the sea of Galile, and went vp into a mountaine, and sate doune there.

After these thynges Iesus went his way ouer the sea of Galyle, nye to a cytye called Tyberias.

After that Iesus shewed hym selfe agayne at the sea of Tyberias. And on thys wise shewed he hym selfe.

Then sayde vnto hym one of his disciples, Andrew Simon Peters brother.

And departed agayne from the coostes yf Tire and Sidon, and came to the sea of Galile, thorow the middest of the coostes of the .x. cyties.

and the feldes and Iordan with the coaste, from Ceneroth euen vnto the sea in the feld which is the salt sea vnder the springes of Phasgah the eastwarde.

And the coste shall go doune from Sepham to Ribla on the east syde of Ain. And then descende and go out at the syde of the sea of Cenereth eastward.

But come, I wyl sende vnto Pharao, that thou maist bring my people, the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Moyses kepte the sheepe of Iethro hys father in lawe prieste of Madian, and he droue the flocke to the backesyde of the deserte, and came to the mountayne of God, Horeb.

By thys ryuer shall the fysshers stande from Engaddy vnto En Eglaim, and there sprede out their nettes: for there shalbe greate heapes of fish, lyke as in the mayne sea.

& he sayed vnto them, folowe me, and I wyll make you fysshers of men.
