the people which sate in darkenes, sawe great light, & to them which sate in the regyon and shadowe of death, light is begonne to shine.

Neuertheles the people that haue dwelt in darcknesse, shall se a greate lyght. As for them that dwell in the lande of the shadowe of death, vpon them shall the lyght shyne.

O thou enemye of myne, reioyce not at my fal, for I shal get vp agayne: and thoughe I syt in my darckenesse, yet the Lorde is my lyght.

A lyght to lighten the gentils and the glorye of thy people Israel.

The Lorde maketh the seuen starres and the Dryons, he turneth the nighte into daye, and of the daye he maketh darcknesse. He calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them oute vpon the playne grounde: the Lorde is hys name:

There is no darcknes nor thicke shadow, that can hyde the wycked doers from hym.

Honoure the Lorde youre God herein, or he take hys lyght from you, and or euer youre fete stomble in darcknesse at the hylle lest when ye loke for the lyght, he turne it into the shadowe and darcknesse of death.

ye into that darck clowdy lande & deadly shadow, where as is no ordre, but terrible feare as in the darcknesse.

but be couered with darcknesse, & the shadowe of death. Let the dymme cloude fall vpon it, & let it be lapped in with sorow.

For thou hast smitten vs in the place of dragones, and couered vs with the shadow of death.

Even lyke as in time past it hath bene well sene, that the lande of Zabulon and the land of Nephtali (where thorow the sea way goeth ouer Iordane into the land of Galilee) was at the fyrst in lytle trouble, but afterwarde sore vexed.
