And he sayed vnto them, be not afrayed: ye seke Iesus of Nazareth whiche was crucifyed. He is rysen, he is not here. Beholde the place where they put hym.

For as Ionas was thre dayes and thre nyghtes in the whales bellye: so shall the sonne of man be thre dayes and thre nyghtes in the herte of the earth.

From that time forth Iesus beganne to shew vnto hys disciples, how that he must go vnto Ierusalem, and suffer many thinges of the elders, and of the hygh priestes, and of the scribes, and must be kylled: and ryse agayne the thyrde daye.

and founde not his bodye: and came saiynge, that they had sene a visyon of aungels, whiche saide that he was aliue.

And he sayde vnto them: These are the wordes which I spake vnto you, whyle I was yet with you: that al muste be fulfilled which was written of me in lawe of Moyses and in the prophetes and in the Psalmes.

and sayd: Syr, we remembre that this deceyuer sayed whyle he was yet alyue. After thre daies I will aryse agayne.

Iesus aunswered and said vnto them: destroy thys temple & in thre dayes. I wyll reare it vp again.

And he began to teache them: howe that the sonne of man must suffer many thinges, and should be reproued of the elders and of the priestes and scribes, and be killed, and after thre dayes ryse agayne.

Therfore doth my father loue me, because I put my lyfe from me, that I myght take it agayne.

Then arose Peter and ranne vnto the sepulchre, and stouped in & sawe the linnen clothes layde by them selfe, & departed wondringe in him selfe at that which had happened.

and shall deliuer hym to the gentels, to be mocked, to be scourged, & to be crucified, and the thirde daye he shall rise agayne.

and they shall kyll hym, and the thyrde daye he shall ryse agayne. And they sorowed greatly.

And as they came doune from the mountayne, Iesus charged them sayinge: se that ye shewe the vision to noman, vntyll the sonne of man be rysen agayne from death.

whom God hath raysed vp and lowsed the sorowes of deathe, because it was vnpossible that he shoulde be holden of it.
