hauynge a simylytude of Godly lyuynge, but haue denyed the power thereof: and suche abhorre.

For they seke me daylye and wyll knowe my waies, euen as it were a people that did right & had not forsaken the statutes of their God. They argue with me concerninge right iudgement, and wil pleate at the lawe with their God.

And write vnto the messenger of the congregation of Sardis, this sayth he that the spyryte of God & the .vij. starres. I know thy workes, thou hast a name, thou lyuest and thou arte deade.

And loked to, that no man be destitute of the grace of God, and that no rote of bytternes sprynge vp and trouble, and therebye manye be defyled,

the same man (whan he seyth the sweard come vpon the lande) shal blowe the trompet, and warne the people.

Then the kingdome of heauen shalbe lykened vnto ten virgins, which toke their lampes and went to mete the bridegrom,

Fyue of them were folyshe, & fyue were wise.

But the wise toke oyle with them in their vessels with their lampes also.

Teth. And if she perceyue that her houswyfrye doth good, her candle goeth not out by night.
