For nacion shall ryse against nacion and realme against realme: and ther shalbe pestylence, honger and earth quakes in certayne places?

and great earthquakes shall be in all quarters and honger, and pestilence and fearfull thinges. And great sygnes shall ther be from heauen.

And I loked, and behold a pale horsse, and hys name that sate on him was death, and hell folowed after him, and power was geuen vnto him ouer the fourth parte of the earth, to kyll with swerd and wyth honger, and wyth death, that cometh of vermen of the earth.

For thus sayeth the Lord: I wil stere vp the Egypcyans one agaynste another among them selues, so that one shalbe euer against his brother & neyghbour, yea one city against another, & one kingdome against another.

In that day shal the Lorde make a great sedicion amonge them, so that one man shal take another by the hande, & lay his handes vpon the handes of his neighbour.

And there stode vp one of them, named Agabus, and signified by the spyrite that there shoulde be greate derth thorowe out all the world, whiche came to passe in the Emperour Claudius daies.

For one nacion shal destroye another, and one cytye another: for God wyl trounce them wyth aduersyte.

And I behelde when he opened the syxte seale, and lo there was a greate earth quake, and the sunne was as blacke as sacke cloth, made of heare. And the mone wexed euen as bloude,

No doubte that same that he sayeth yet ones more, signifyeth the remouyng away of those thynges, whiche are shaken as of thynges whiche haue ended theyr course: that the thynges whiche are not shaken maye remayne.

Punish punyshe, yea punish them will I, and destroy them: and that shall not be fulfilled vntyll he come, to whome the iudgement belongeth, & to whome I haue geuen it.

Moreouer thus sayth the Lord god: Though I sende my foure troublous plages vpon Ierusalem: the swearde, honger, perlous, beastes and pestilence, to destroye man and beaste oute of it:

And I wyll shewe wounders in heauen aboue, and tokens in the earth beneth, bloude & fyre, and the vapoure of smoke.

Thou shalte be vysyted of the Lorde of hostes with thondre, earthequake, & wyth a greate crack, with the whyrle wynde, tempeste, & with the flamme of a consumynge fyre.

And when he opened the thyrde seale, I hearde the thyrde beast say: come and se. And I behelde, and lo a blacke horsse: and he that sate on him, had a payre of balances in hys hand.

And I heard a voyce in the myddes of the .iiij. beastes say: a measure of wheat for a penye, and .iij. measures of barly for a peny, and oyle and wyne se thou hurte not.
