When they hearde that they maruayled, and left hym, and went theyr waye.

And they wente aboute to take hym. But they feared the people. For they perceyued that he spake that similitude agaynste them. And they lefte hym.

Let youre speache be alwayes well sauoured and poudred with salte, that ye maye knowe, howe to answere euery man.

And they could not resist the wysdome, and the spyryte wt whyche he spake.

And none coulde aunswere hym agayne one worde, neyther durste any from that daye forth axe him any more question.

And when the people hearde that, they were astonyed at hys doctrine.

Beholde I sende you forth as shepe among wolues. Be ye therfore wyse as serpentes, and innocent as doues.

For I wyll geue you a mouthe and wisdome, where against all youre aduersaries shall not be able to speake nor resyste.

When Iesus hearde that, he maruailed & sayed to them that folowed him. Verely I say vnto you, I haue not founde so great faith: no, not in Israel.
