Beholde, the Lorde proclameth in the endes of the worlde: tell the doughter Syon: se, thy saluacyon commeth, beholde he bryngeth his treasure wyth hym, and hys worckes go before hym.
Neuerthelesse I wyll haue mercy vpon the house of Iuda, and will saue them, euen thorow the Lord their God. But I wyll not delyuer them thorowe anye bowe, swearde, battel, horses, or horsemen.
Go vp vnto the hyll (O Sion) thou tha bryngest good tydynges, lyft vp thy voyce with power, O thou preacher Ierusalem. Lyft it vp without feare, & saye vnto the cities of Iuda: Beholde youre God,
Dauid my seruaunt shalbe their kinge, & they all shal haue one shepherde onely. They shall walke in my lawes, & my commaundementes shall they both kepe and fulfil.
And thou Bethleem in the land of Iury, art not the least concerning the Princes of Iuda. For out of the shal come the captaine, that shall gouerne my people Israel.
And thou Bethleem Ephrata, art lytle among the thousandes of Iuda, Out of the shall come vnto me, whyche shall be the gouernoure in Israell: whose out goinge hath bene from the begynnyge, and from euerlastynge.
I Paule my selfe beseche you by the mekenesse and softenes of Christe, whiche when I am present amonge you, am of no reputacion, but am bolde toward you beynge absent,
And Salomon gathered together charettes and horsemen: so that he had a thousande, and .iiij. hundred charettes, and .xij. thousand horsmen, whiche he bestowed in the charet cytyes and wyth the kynge at Ierusalem.

But in any wyse let hym not holde to many horses, that he bringe not the people agayne to Egypt thorowe the multitude of horsses, for asmuch as the Lord hath sayd vnto you: ye shall henceforthe go no more agayne that way.
