I se him but not now, I behold hym but not nye. There shall come a starre of Iacob and ryse a scepter of Israel, which shal smite the costes of Moab and vndermine all the chyldren of Seth.

And agayne: when he bringeth in the fyrst begotten sonne into the worlde, he sayeth: And al the Angels of God shal worshyppe him.

And his superscription was wrytten ouer him, in greke in latine and in Hebrew: This is the kinge of the Iewes:

And Pylate apposed him saiynge: art thou the kynge of the Iewes? He aunswered him and sayde: thou sayest it.

Yet haue I sette my kyng vpon my holy hyll of syon.

because that all men should honoure the sonne, euen as they honoured the father. He that honoureth not the sonne: the same honoureth not the father, which hath sent him.

Nathanael aunswered & sayde vnto him: Rabbi, thou art the sonne of God, thou art the kynge of Israel.

saying: Blessed be the kyng that cometh in the name of the Lorde: peace in heauen, and glorye in the hyest.

for vnto you is borne this day in the citye of Dauid, a sauioure whiche is Christe the Lorde.

but they shall do seruyce vnto God their Lorde, and to Dauid theyr Kynge, whome I wyll rayse vp vnto them.

So shall the kynge haue pleasure in thy beuty, for he is thy Lorde, & thou shalte worshyp hym.

And he sayde: Lorde I beleue & worshypped hym.

And Pylate wrote hys tytle and put it on the crosse. The wrytyng was Iesus of Nazareth, kynge of the Iewes.

toke braunches of palme trees, and went and met hym, and cryed: Hosanna, blessed is he that in the name of the Lorde cometh kynge of Israell.

Iesus stode before the debitie: and the debytie axed hym saying: Art thou the Kynge of the Iewes? Iesus sayed vnto hym: Thou sayest,

Thomas aunswered and said vnto hym: My Lord and my God:

Tel ye the doughter of Sion: beholde thyne kyng cometh vnto the meke, and sitting vpon an Asse and a colte, the fote of an Asse vsed to the yooke.

When Herode the kinge had herde this, he was troubled, and al Ierusalem with him,
