Then tourned he about and sayd vnto Peeter: come after me Sathan, thou offendest me, because thou sauorest not godly thynges, but worldly thynges.

Let vs not therfore iudge one another anye more. But iudge thys rather, that no man put a stumblynge blocke or an occasyon to falle in hys brothers waye.

And Satan stode vp agaynste Israel, and persuaded Dauid to nombre Israel.

And the Kynge sayd: what matter is betwene you and me ye sonnes of Zaruiah, that ye shoulde this daye be aduersaries vnto me? There shall no man dye this daye in Israel: for I know that I am thys daye kinge ouer Israel.

For he is the sanctifyeng, and stone to stomble at the rocke to fall vpon, a snare and net to both the houses, to Israell, and the inhabitours of Ierusalem.

It is good neyther to eate flesh, neyther to drynke wyne neyther anye thynge whereby thy brother stombleth, eyther falleth, or is made weake.

Wo be vnto the worlde because of offences. Howe be it, it cannot be auoyded but that offences shall be geuen. Neuerthelesse woo be to the man, by whome the offence cometh.
