and so shall he not honour hys father or mother. And thus haue ye made, that the commaundement of God is without effecte, thorow your tradicions.

Yf there be anye that prouideth not for hys owne, & namely for them of hys housholde the same denyeth the fayth, & is worsse then an infydele.

Howe darre ye saye then: we are wyse, we haue the lawe of the Lorde amonge vs. Beholde, the disceytfull penne of the scrybes, setteth forth lyes:

makynge the worde of God of none effect, thorowe youre owne tradicions, which you haue ordeyned. And many suche thinges ye do.

It is tyme for the (O Lord) to lay to thine hande, for they haue destroyed thy lawe.

And yf any man or woman that beleueth haue wydowes, let them mynyster vnto them, & lette not the congregacion be charged: that it maye haue suffycyent for them that are wyddowes in dede.

my people perish, because they haue no knowledge. Seing then that thou hast refused vnderstanding, therfore wil I refuse the also: so that thou shalt no more be my preste. And for so muche as thou hast forgotten the lawe of thy God, I wil also forget thy children.

My zeale hath euen consumed me, because myne enemyes haue forgotten thy wordes.

But ye saye, euery man shal say to hys father or mother: that which thou desirest of me to helpe the with: is geuen to God,
