And they were offended by hym. Then Iesus saide to them a Prophet is not without honor saue in his own countrey, & among his own kynne.

And Iesus hym selfe testifyed, that a Prophet hath no honoure in hys own countrye.

And happye is he that is not offended by me.

And he sayed: verely I saye vnto you. No prophete is accepted in his owne countrye.

Iesus knewe in him selfe, that his disciples murmured at it, and sayde vnto them: Doth this offende you?

He shalbe the most simple, and despysed of all, which yet hath good experience of sorowes & infyrmyties. We shall reken him so symple and so vyle, that we shall hyde our faces from hym.

And he departed thence, & came into hys owne countre, and hys disciples folowed him.

And Iesus sayde vnto them: a Prophet is not dispised but in his owne countre, and amonge his owne kinne, and amonge them that are of the same housholde.
