The men of Niniuye shall ryse at the daye of iudgement with this nacion, and condemne them: for thei amended at the preaching of Ionas: And beholde, a greater then Ionas is here.

The quene of the south shall ryse at the daye of iudgement with this generacion, and shall condemne theim: for she came from the vttermost parties of the worlde to hear the wysdome of Salomon. And beholde a greater then Salomon is here.

By faythe Noe honoured God, after that he was warned of thynges whiche were not sene, and prepared the arcke to the sauynge of hys housholde, thorow the whiche arcke, he condemned the worlde, and became heyre of the rightuousnes that commeth by faythe.

And shall not vncircumcysyon whiche is by nature (yf it kepe the lawe) iudge the, whiche beynge vnder the letter and circumcysyon, doest transgresse the lawe?

But I say vnto you: that here is one greater then the temple.

Aryse, and get the to Niniue that greate cyte: & preache vnto them, how that their wyckednes is come vp before me.

And the Lorde sayde vnto me. The bacslyder Israel is more ryghteous, then the vnfaythfull Iuda:

Art thou greater, then our father Iacob, whyche gaue vs this well, and he him selfe dranke therof, and hys chyldren, and his catell?

The men of Niniue shall ryse at the iudgement wt thys generacyon, and condempne them: for they repented at the preaching of Ionas. And beholde a greater then Ionas is here.

Verely I say vnto you, al these things shall lyght vpon this generation.

Iesus aunswered and sayde: O generation faythles and croked: howe longe shall I be wt you? how longe shal I suffre you? bryng him hydder to me.

The froward nacion and aduouterous seketh a signe: and there shal no nother signe be geuen vnto them, but the signe of the prophet Ionas So lefte he them, and departed.

Then he goeth his way and taketh vnto him seuen other spirites worsse then hym selfe, and so enter they in and dwell there. And the ende of that man is worsse then the beginning. Euen so shall it be with this euill nacion.

He aunswered and said to them: The euyll and aduouterous generation seketh a sygne, but there shal no sygne be geuen to them, saue the signe of the prophete Ionas.

but al the weapens that are made agaynste the, shal not prospere. And as for all tunges, that shall resiste the in iudgement, thou shalte ouercome them, and condempne them. This is the herytage of the Lordes seruauntes, and the ryghtuousnes that they shal haue of me, sayeth the Lorde.

And Ionas wente to, and entred in to the cytie: euen a dayes iourney, & cryed, sayenge: There are yet .xl. dayes and then shall Niniue be ouerthrowen.
