How he entred into the house of God, & eate the halowed louwes, which were not lawful, for him to eate, neyther for them which were with him but onlye for the priestes.

And thou shalte sette vppon the table, shewbreade before me allwaye.

Then Moses sayd vnto Aaron & his sonnes: boyle the flesh in the dore of the tabernacle of wytnes & there eate it wyth the breade that is in the basket of fulofferyngs, as the Lord commaunded saying: Aaron and hys sonnes shall eate it:

And the pryest answered Dauid and sayd: there is no comen bread vnder myne hande, but there is halowed bread, yf the young men, had abstayned only from wemen.

And so the pryest gaue hym halowed bread, for there was no nother bread there saue shew breades that were taken from before the Lord, to put freshe bread there the day that it was taken away.

He sayde vnto them: Haue ye not read what Dauid dyd, when he was an hungred, and they also whiche were with hym?

Or haue ye not read in the law, how that the pryestes in the temple breake the saboth day, and yet are blamlesse:

Howe he went into the house of God in the dayes of Abiathar the hye prieste, and dyd eate the halowed loues, which is not lawfull to eate, but for the priestes onely: and gaue also to them, whiche were with hym?

how he wente into the house of God and toke and eate the loues of halowed breade, & gaue also to them which were with him, which was not lawfull to eate, but for the priestes onlye.

For there was a fore tabernacle made, wherein was the candelstycke and the table, & the shewe bread which is called holye.
