and beholde there was a man which had his hande dryed vp. And they axed hym sayinge: is it lawful to heale vpon the saboth dayes? because they myght accuse him.
And the ruler of the synagoge aunswered with indignacion (because that Iesus had healed on the Saboth daye) & sayed vnto the people. There are .vi. dayes, in whiche men oughte to worke, in them come and be healed, & not on the Saboth daye.
Then sayd some of the Phariseis: thys man is not of God, because he kepeth not the Saboth daye. Other sayed: howe can a man that is a synner, do such miracles? And there was stryfe among them.
O Idols sheperd, that leaueth the flocke. The swerde shall come vpon his arme & vpon his right eye. His arme shalbe cleane dryed vp, and hys ryght eye shalbe sore blinded.
But the churle wyll be churlyshly mynded, & his hert wil worcke euil & playe the Ipocrite, & ymagyn abhominacyons against God, to make the hungry leane, & to withhold drincke from the thurstie.
And they began to accuse hym saiynge: We haue founde thys felowe peruertinge the people & forbiddinge to paye tribute to Cesar, saiynge: that he is Christ a kinge.
and sayed vnto them. Ye haue brought this man vnto me, as one that peruerted the people. And beholde I haue examined him before you, & haue founde no faute in this man of those thinges wherof ye accuse him:
Namely transgresse and dissemble agaynst the Lorde, and fall awaye from oure God: vsinge presumptuous and trayterous ymaginacions, and castynge false matters in oure hertes.
Noman regardeth righteousnes, and noman iudged truely. Euery man hopeth in vayne thinges, and ymagyneth disceyte, conceyueth werynesse, and bringeth forth euyl.
If a man on the Saboth daye receyue circumcisyon without breakinge of the lawe of Moyses: disdayne ye at me because I haue made a man euery whit whole on the Saboth daye?
