At that time Iesus aunswered and said: I prayse the, O father Lorde of heauen and earth, because thou hast hid these thinges from the wyse and prudent, and hast opened theim vnto babes:

and sayde vnto hym: hearest thou what these saye? Iesus sayde to them, yea. Haue ye neuer reade, of the mouth of babes and suckelynges thou hast ordeyned prayse?

Out of the mouth of the very babes and sucklynges thou haste ordeyned prayse, because of thyne enemyes, that thou mightest destroye the enemye & the auenger.

Thus sayeth the Lorde: Heauen is my seat, and the earth is my fote stole Where shal nowe the house stande, that ye wyll buylde vnto me. And where shalbe the place, that I dwell in?

saiynge: Father if thou wylt, wythdrawe this cup from me. Neuertheles, not my wyll, but thyne be fulfylled.

Nowe is my soule troubled, and what shal I saye? Father delyuer me from thys houre: but therfore came I vnto thys houre.

Father, glorifye thy name. Then came there a voyce from heauen: I haue glorifyed it, and wil glorifye it agayne.

But God hath opened them to vs by hys spirite. For the spirite searcheth al thinges, ye the bottome of Goddes secretes.
