For he shalbe greate in the syght of the Lorde, and shall neyther drinke wyne nor stronge drinke. And he shalbe fylled with the holy ghost, euen in his mothers wombe:

It is ynough for the discyple to be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as hys Lorde is. If they haue called the good man of the house him selfe belzebub: how muche more shal they call them of his housholde so?

Be ye sure (O Israel) the tyme of visitacyon is come, the dayes of recompensynge are at hande. As for the Prophete, ye holde hym for a foole: and him that is ryche in the spyrite for a mad man: so great is youre wickednes and malice.

I dwell not amonge the scorners, nether is my delyte therin: but I dwell only in the feare of thy hand, for thou hast fylled me with bytternes.

but I tame my bodye and bringe it into subieccion, leste after that I haue preached to other, I my selfe should be a cast away.

As he thus aunswered for him selfe, Festus saied with a loude voyce. Paul, thou art besides thy selfe. Muche learninge hath made the mad.

The Lorde hath ordened the to be prieste in steade of Iehoiada the prieste, that thou shuldest be the chefe in the house of the Lorde aboue all Prophetes and preachers, and that thou myghteste put them in preson, or in the stockes,

But the pharyseis sayed: he casteth out deuils, by the power of the chiefe deuyl.

and saye we haue pyped vnto you, & ye haue not daunced? We haue morned vnto you, and ye haue not sorowed.

And the scribes which came from Ierusalem, sayde: he hathe Beelzebub, and by the power of the chiefe deuyll casteth out deuyls.

Then sayed the Iewes to hym. Nowe knowe we that thou haste the deuyll. Abraham is dead, and also the Prophetes, and yet thou sayest, yf a man kepe my saiynges he shall neuer tast of death.
