These .xij. sent Iesus forth after he had geuen to them commaundement sainge Go not into the wayes that lead to the gentyls, & into the cityes of the Samaritanes enter ye not.
Then sayde the woman of Samarya vnto hym: howe is it, that thou beynge a Iewe, axest drynke of me which am a Samaritan? for the Iewes medle not with the Samaritans.
and forbid vs to preache vnto the Gentyls, that they might be saued to fulfyll theyr synnes alwaye. For the wrathe of God is come on them, euen to the vtmost.
And they of the circumcision, whyche beleued, were astonied, as manye as came wyth Peter, because that on the Gentils, also was shede out the gyfte of the holy ghoste.
but ye shall receiue power of the holy ghost, whiche shall come on you. And ye shall be witnesses vnto me in Hierusalem, and in al Iewrye, and in Samary and euen vnto the worldes ende.
Then sayd the Iewes amonge them selues: whither wyll he go, that we shall not fynde him? Wyll he go amonge the gentyls which are scattered all abrode and teache the gentyls:
Saul had pleasure in hys death. And at the tyme ther was a great persecution agaynste the congregation, whiche was at Ierusalem, & they were all scattered abroade thorowout the regions of Iury & Samaria, excepte the Apostles.
After these thynges, the Lord appoynted other seuentye also: and sent them, two & two before him into euery citie and place, whyther he hym selfe woulde come.
