There is nothinge without a man that can defile him when it entereth into him: but those thinges which procede out of hym are those, which defile the man.

Kepe thyne herte wyth all dilygence, for there vpon hangeth lyfe.

Vnto the pure are all thynges pure, but vnto them that are defyled and vnbeleuynge, is nothynge pure: but euen the very myndes and consciences of them are defyled.

Be not caryed aboute wyth dyuerse and straunge learnynge. For it is a good thynge that the herte be stablyshed wyth grace, and not with meates, whiche haue not profyted them that haue had theyr pastyme in them.

wyth onelye meates and drynkes and dyuers washynges and iustifiynges of the fleshe, whyche were ordeyned vntyll the tyme of reformacyon.

O generation of vipers, how can ye say well, when ye your selues are euil? For of the aboundaunce of the herte, the mouth speaketh.

For the kyngedome of God is not meate and drynke, but ryghtuousnes, peace, & ioye in the holye ghoste.

Whatsoeuer is solde in the market, that eate and axe no questions for consciens sake.

And he sayde vnto them: Ye knowe howe that it is an vnlawfull thynge for a man that is a Iewe, to companye or come vnto an aliaunte: but God hath shewed me that I should not cal any man commen, or vncleane:

Then sayde Iesus are ye yet without vnderstandyng?

And he called all the people vnto hym, and sayde to them. Herken to me, euery one of you and vnderstande.

If any man haue eares to heare, let hym heare.
