and cryed with a loude voyce, and sayde: what haue I to do with a loude voyce, and sayde: what haue I to do with the Iesus the sonne of the most hyest God? I requyre the in the name of God that thou torment me not.

And behold they cried out saying: O Iesu the sonne of God, what haue we to do with the? Art thou come hither to torment vs before the tyme be come?

The same folowed Paul and vs, & cryed, saiynge: These men are the seruauntes of the moste hye God, which shew vnto vs that waye of saluacyon.

The aungels also whiche kepte not theyr fyrste estate: but lefte theyr habytacyon, he hath reserued in euerlastyng chaynes vnder darkenes vnto the iudgement of the greate daye:

When he sawe Iesus he cried and fel doune before him, and with a loud voice saied: What haue I to do with the Iesus the sonne of the God moste hiest? I besech the tormente me not.

And when the vncleane spirites sawe hym: they fell doune before hym, and cryed, sayinge: thou art the sonne of God

Then came to him the temptour, & said: if thou be the sonne of God, commaunde that these stones be made bread.

He that committeth sinne, is of the deuil, for the deuil sinneth sence the beginninge. For this purpose appered the sonne of God to lowse the workes of the deuil.

For yf God spared not the aungels that sinned but cast them downe into hell, and deliuered them into chayns of darckenes, to be kept vnto iudgement,

saiyng: let be: what haue we to do with the thou Iesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy vs, I knowe the what thou arte, euen the holye of God.

Simon Peter aunswered and sayde: Thou arte Christ the sonne of the liuynge God.

O Ephraim what haue I to do wt Idols anye more? I wyll graciously heare him, and lede hym forthe. I will be vnto the as a grene Fyrre tre, vpon me shalt thou find thy trute.

And the kynge saide vnto him, how often shall I adiure the, that thou tel me nothinge but truthe, in the name of the Lorde.

Thys Melchysedech, kynge of Salem (whiche beynge prieste of the moost hye God met Abraham, as he returned agayne from the slaughter of the kynges, & blessed him:

For as muche then as the children were partetakers of fleshe and bloude, he also him selfe lyke wyse toke part wyth them, for to put doune thorowe death, that is to saye the deuyll,

And as they wente on their waye, they came vnto a certaine water, and the chamberlaine sayed: Se here is water, what shall let me to be baptysed?

These are written that ye myght beleue, that Iesus is Christe the sonne of God, and that in beleuinge ye might haue lyfe thorow hys name.

Wherfore, loue ye your enemyes, do good and lende, lokinge for nothynge againe, and your rewarde shall be greate, and ye shalbe the children of the hyest for he is kinde vnto the vnkinde and to the euyll.

saiyng: let me alone, what hast thou to do with vs, thou Iesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroye? I knowe the what thou arte, euen the holye of God.

He shalbe greate, and shalbe called the sonne of the hiest. And the Lorde God shal geue to hym the seat of his father Dauid,

And he helde hys peace, and aunswered nothynge. Agayne the hyest priest axed him, and sayed vnto hym: Arte thou christe the sonne of the blessed?

The God of peace treade Sathan vnder your fete shortelye. The grace of oure Lorde Iesu Christe be with you.

When he had spyed Iesus a far of, he ranne & worshypped hym

For he had sayde vnto hym: come out of the man thou foule spirite.

Beleuest thou that there is one God? Thou doest well. The deuyls also beleue and tremble.
