but after that it is sowen, it groweth vp and is greatest of al herbes and beareth great braunches, so that the foules of the ayre maye dwell vnder the shadowe of it.

Who so dwelleth vnder the defence of the most hyest, & abydeth vnder the shadowe of the almightye.

Res. The verye breth of oure mouth: euen the anoynted Lorde him self shalbe taken in oure synnes, of whom we saye: Vnder his shadowe we shalbe preserued amonge the Heythen.

He shalbe vnto men as a defence for the wynde, & as a refuge for the tempeste, like as a riuer of water in a thurstye place, and the shadowe of a great rocke in a drye land.

Namely, vpon the hye hill of Syon wil I plante it: that it may brynge forth twigges, and geue frute, and be a greate Cedre tree: so that all maner of foules maye byde in it, and make their nestes vnder the shadowe of hys braunches.

whych is the leest of all seedes. But when it is growen it is the greatest among herbes, & it groweth vp into a tree: so that the byrdes of the ayre come and buylde in the braunches of it.

It is lyke a grayne of mustarde sede, which when it is sowen in the earth, is the least of all seedes that be in the earth:

And with many suche similitudes he preached the worde vnto them, after as they myghte heare it.
