And so Pylate wyllyng to content the people, loused them Barrabas, and delyuered Iesus, when he had scourged hym, for to be crucifyed.
Then Pylate toke Iesus & scourged him.
Then let he Barrabas louse vnto them, and schourged Iesus, and deliuered hym to be crucyfyed.
but I offre my backe vnto the smyters, & my chekes to the uyppers. I turne not my face from shame & spyttynge,
and they shal mocke him, & schourge him and spyte vpon hym, and kyl hym. And the thyrd daye he shall ryse agayne.
He that feareth men, shall haue a fall: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lorde shall come to honoure.
The plowers plowed vpon my backe, & made longe forowes.
which hys owne selfe bare oure synnes in hys body on the tree, that we shoulde be delyuered from synne, and shoulde lyue in ryghtuousnes. By whose strypes ye were healed.
Then delyuered he him vnto them to be crucifyed. And they toke Iesus, & led hym awaye,
Set vp thy selfe, O God, aboue the heauens, and thi glory aboue al the earth.
no nother of the Apostles sawe I, saue Iames the Lordes brother.
Festus willing to do the Iewes a pleasure, aunswered Paule & sayd. Wylt thou go to Hierusalem, and there be iudged of these thinges before me?
But after .ij. yeare Festus Porcius came into Felix roume. And Felix wyllynge to shewe the Iewes a pleasure, left Paule in prison bounde.
and when they haue scourged him, they wyll put hym to death, and the thyrde daye he shall ryse agayn.
and shall deliuer hym to the gentels, to be mocked, to be scourged, & to be crucified, and the thirde daye he shall rise agayne.
Pylate said vnto them: what euyl hath he done? And they cryed the more feruentlye: Crucifye hym.
I wil therfore chasten him and let him louse.
