What shall then the Lorde of the vyneyarde do? He wyll come and destroye the tenauntes, and let oute the vynearde to other.

Esayas after that is bolde and sayth: I am founde of the, that soughte me not, & haue appeared to them that axed not after me.

Moreouer those myne enemyes which woulde not that I should raigne ouer them, brynge hyther, and slea them before me.

Therfore saye I vnto you the kyngdome of God shalbe taken from you, and shalbe gyuen to the gentyles, whiche shall brynge forth the frutes of it.

When the kynge hearde that, he was wrothe and sente forthe hys warryers and destroyed those murtherers and brent vp theyr citie.

Then he goeth his way and taketh vnto him seuen other spirites worsse then hym selfe, and so enter they in and dwell there. And the ende of that man is worsse then the beginning. Euen so shall it be with this euill nacion.

For from the rysynge vp of the sunne vnto the goynge doune of the same, my name is greate amonge the Gentyles: yea, in euery place shall there sacryfice be done, & a cleane meatoffering offered vp vnto my name: for my name is great among the heathen, sayeth the Lorde of hostes.

Wherfore, I will make all youre substaunce & treasure be spoyled, for the great synne that ye haue done vpon your hye places thorow out all the coastes of youre lande.

Youre name shal not be sworne by amonge my chosen, for God the Lorde shall slay you, and cal his seruauntes by another name.

Se ye not that it is harde by, that Lybanus shalbe turned into Charmell, and that Charmell shalbe taken as a woode?

And as all good thynges are come vpon you, which the Lorde youre God promysed you: so shall the Lorde brynge vpon you all euyll vntyl he haue destroyed you from of thys good lande which the Lorde your God hath geuen you

And when the tyme of the frute drewe neare, he sente hys seruauntes to the husbandmen to receyue the fruytes of it.

And they toke hym, & kylled hym, & cast hym out of the vyneyarde.
