Haue ye not read thys scrypture? The stone which the buylders dyd refuse, is made the chiefe stone in the corner:

Iesus sayde vnto them: dyd ye neuer reade in the scriptures. The stone which the buylders refused, the same is set in the principall parte of the corner: thys was the Lordes doynge, and it is meruelous in oure eyes.

Therfore sayth the Lorde God: Beholde, I wyll laye a stone in Syon a great stone, a costly corner stone for a sure foundacyon: that who so putteth hys truste in hym, shall not be confounded.

As it is wrytten. Beholde I put in Syon a stomblyng stone, and a rocke which shall make men faule. And none that beleue on hym, shalbe a shamed.

And he sayde to them: haue ye neuer rede what Dauid dyd, when he had nede, & was an hungred both he and they that were with hym?

and sayde vnto hym: hearest thou what these saye? Iesus sayde to them, yea. Haue ye neuer reade, of the mouth of babes and suckelynges thou hast ordeyned prayse?

He aunswered and sayde vnto them: Haue ye not reade, howe that he whiche made man at the beginnyng, made them man and woman

And Iesus aunswered them and sayde: Haue ye not read what Dauid did when he him selfe was an hongred, and they which were with hym:

Moreouer, when ye se the abhomynacyon that betokeneth desolacion, whereof is spoken by Daniel the Prophet, stande where it oughte not, let hym that readeth vnderstand, then let them that be in Iurye, fle to the mountaynes.

As touchyng the resurreccion of the dead: haue ye not reade what is sayd vnto you of God which sayth:

He sayde vnto them: Haue ye not read what Dauid dyd, when he was an hungred, and they also whiche were with hym?

As touchynge the dead, that they shall ryse agayne: haue ye not reade in the boke of Moyses, how in the bushe god spake to him sayinge: I am the God of Abraham, & God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob?

What shall then the Lorde of the vyneyarde do? He wyll come and destroye the tenauntes, and let oute the vynearde to other.
