And he aunswered and sayd vnto them: What did Moyses bid you do?

Tell me ye that desyre to be vnder the law haue ye not heard of the law?

Yf any man want lyght, let hym loke vpon the lawe and the testimony, whether they speake not after thys meaninge.

Searche the sciptures, for in them ye thinke ye haue eternall lyfe: and they are they which testifye of me.

And beholde a certaine lawyer stode vp, & tempted hym, saiynge: Mayster what shall I do to enherite eternall lyfe?

And the phariseis came & axed him a question: whether it were lawfull for a man to put away his wife: to proue him.

And they sayde: Moyses suffred to write a testimoniall of deuorcement, and to put her awaye.
