And it fortuned as he was alone praiynge: his disciples were with him, and he axed them saiyng: Who saye the people that I am?
And it fortuned as he was praiynge in a certayne place: when he ceased, one of hys discyples said vnto hym: Mayster, teache vs to praye, as Iohn taught his disciples.
Then went Iesus with them into a place whiche is called Gethsemane, and sayde vnto the disciples: sit ye here whyle I go and praye yonder.
And assone as he had sent the people away, he went vp into a mountayn alone to pray, & when night was come, he was there him self alone.
And it fortuned as all the people receyued baptisme (And when Iesus was baptised and did praye) that heauen was opened,
And it furtuned in those dayes that he went out into a mountaine for to praye, and contynued all night in prayer to God.
They aunswered and sayd: Iohn Baptiste. Some saye, Helyas. And some saye, one of the olde prophetes is risen agayne.
And it folowed about an .viij. dayes after those saiynge: that he toke Peter, Iames, and Iohn, and went vp into a mountaine to pray.
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenaunce was chaunged, and his garment was white and shone.
