All these thynges hearde the phariseis also which were couetous, and they mocked hym.

He shalbe the most simple, and despysed of all, which yet hath good experience of sorowes & infyrmyties. We shall reken him so symple and so vyle, that we shall hyde our faces from hym.

And Iesus sayde: take ye away the stone. Martha the syster of hym that was dead, said vnto him: Lorde by thys tyme he stinketh: for he hath bene dead four dayes.

Al they that se me, laugh me to scorne: thei shute out their lippes, & shake their heades.

I haue disceyued no man, yet must myne eye continue in heuynesse.

Thus he that calleth vpon God, & whom God heareth, is mocked of hys neyghboure: the godlye and innocent man is laughed to scorne.

he sayd vnto them: Get you hence, for the mayde is not dead, but slepeth. And they laughed him to scorne.

Euerye bodye wepe and sorowed for her. And he sayd: Wepe not: for she is not dead but slepeth.

And he thruste them all out, and caught her by the hand, and cried saiynge: Mayde aryse.
