Iohn aunswered and sayde to them all: I baptyse you with water, but a stronger then I cometh after me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to vnlouse: he wyll baptyse you with the holye ghost, and with fyre.

Sence nowe that he by the ryght hand of God is exalted, and hath receiued of the father the promyse of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth, that whyche ye now se and heare.

He that beleueth on me, as sayeth the scripture, out of hys bellye shall flowe riuers of water of lyfe.

Whyle Peter yet spake these wordes the holye Ghoste fel on all them whyche hearde the preaching.

Then wyll I poure cleare water vpon you, & ye shalbe clene: yee from all your vnclennesse and from all your Idols shal I clense you.

which hath also his fan in hys hande, and will purge his floure gather the wheat into his garner, & wyl burne the chaffe with vnquenciable fyre.
