Then came there publicans to be baptysed, and sayde vnto hym: Maister, what shall we do?

And all the people that hearde and the publicans iustifyed God, and were baptysed with the baptime of Ihon.

And the Publicane stode a farre of, and woulde not lyft vp his eyes to heauen, but smote his brest, saiynge: God be mercifull to me a synner.

For if ye loue them, whiche loue you: what rewarde shall ye haue? Doo not the publicanes euen so?

And the people axed him sayinge: What shall we do then?

And he sayde vnto them: require nomore then that which is appointed vnto you.

When they hearde this, they were prycked in their hertes, and sayd vnto Peter and vnto the other Apostles. Ye men and brethren, what shall we do?
