And it came to passe, that when Iesus had ended these saynges, the people were astonyed at his doctrine.

And they were astonyed at his doctryne, for his preachinge was wyth power.

I haue more vnderstandyng then all my teachers, for thy testimonies are my studye.

And the Iewes maruayled saiynge: How knoweth he the scriptures, seiyng that he neuer learned?

And they merueyled at hys learning. For he taught them as one that had power with hym, and not as the scrybes.

The seruauntes aunswered: neuer man spake as thys man doth.

And all bare him witnes, and wondred at the gracious wordes which proceded out of his mouthe, and saide: Is not this Iosephs sonne?

and came into hys owne countrey, and taught them in theyr sinagoges, in so much that they were astonyed and sayde: whence cometh all thys wysdome and power vnto hym?

And when the people hearde that, they were astonyed at hys doctrine.

And when the Sabboth daye was come, he began to teache in the Sinagoge And many that heard him were astonied, and sayde: From whence hath he these thinges? & what wysedome is this that is geuen vnto him? and suche vertues that are wroughte by his handes?

And the Scrybes & hye Priestes hearde it: and soughte howe to destroy him. For they feared hym, because al the people marueyled at his doctrine.

And it fortuned after thre dayes that they founde him in the tempell, syttynge in the middes of the doctours, both hearynge them and posynge them.

And all that heard it, wondered at those thinges whiche were tolde them of the shepherdes.
