But we preache Christe crucifyed vnto the Iewes an occasion of fallinge, and vnto the Grekes folishnes,

And whosoeuer shall fall ou thys stone, he shalbe broken, but on whosoeuer it shall fall vpon, it wyll grynde hym to powder.

Who so is wyse, shall vnderstande thys: & he that is ryght instructe, wyll regarde it. For the wayes of the Lorde are ryghteous, suche as be Godlye wil walcke in them: As for the wicked, they wyll stomble therin.

If ye be railed vpon for the name of Christ, happie are ye. For the spyryte of glorye, and the spyryte of Gad resteth vpon you. On theyr parte he is euyll spoken of, but on your parte he is glorified.

And no man denyeth but that whiche is lesse, receyueth blessyng of that which is greater.

And wherfore? Because they sought it not by fayth: but as it were by the workes of the lawe. For they haue stombled at the stomblynge stone.

And the worde of God encreased, and the numbre of the disciples multiplyed in Hierusalem greatly, and a great companye of the priestes were obedient to the faith.

We haue founde thys man a pestylent felowe, and a mouer of debate vnto all the Iewes thoroughout the world, and a mayntayner of the secte of the Nazarites,

But when they found them not, they drue Iason and certayne brethren vnto the heades of the citie, criynge: these that trouble the worlde are come hyther also,

When the Iewes saw the people, they were ful of indignacyon & spake agaynste those thynges, whiche were spoken of Paule, speakynge agaynst it, and railynge on it.

The kinges of the earth stode vp and the rulers came together, againste Lorde and agaynste his Chryste.

Therfore the Iewes sought the more to kill him not only because he had broken the saboth, but sayd also that God was hys father, and made hym selfe equal with God.

For euerye man that euyll doth, hateth the light: nether commeth to the lyghte: lest his dedes shoulde be reproued.

and sayd: Syr, we remembre that this deceyuer sayed whyle he was yet alyue. After thre daies I will aryse agayne.

Whyle he yet talked to the people: beholde his mother and his brethren stode without, desyrynge to speake with hym.

The sonne of man came eatinge and drynking, and they saye, beholde a glutton and drinker of wine, and a frende vnto publicans and synners. Neuerthelater wysdome is iustifyed of her children.

But lo, as for me, and the children whiche the Lorde hath geuen me: we are a token and a wondre in Israel, for the Lorde of hostes sake, whiche dwelleth vpon the hill of Syon.

And Moses beheld al the worke: and se, they had done it euen as the Lord commaunded: and then Moses blessed them.

And Ioseph brought in Iacob his father and set hym before Pharao. And Iacob blessed Pharao,

blessed him saying: Blessed be Abram vnto the most highest God, possessor of heauen & earth.

Thys Melchysedech, kynge of Salem (whiche beynge prieste of the moost hye God met Abraham, as he returned agayne from the slaughter of the kynges, & blessed him:

But we wyll heare of the what thou thynkest. For we haue hearde of this secte that euery where it is spoken agaynste.

And Eli blessed Elkanah and hys wyfe: and sayde: the Lorde geue the seede of thys woman, for that she hath lent the Lord. And they went vnto their owne whome.

And moreouer the swearde shall pearce thy soule, that the thoughtes of manye hertes maye be opened.
