then toke he him vp in hys armes and sayed.
And his mouthe was opened immediatlye, and his tonge also, and he spake laudinge God.
And the shepherdes retourned, praisynge and lauding God for all that they had hearde and sene, euen as it was tolde vnto them.
Blessed be the Lorde God of Israel, for he hath visyted and redemed his people.
And Marye sayde: My soule magnifyed the Lorde.
And he toke them vp in hys armes, and put hys handes vpon them and blessed them.
And he toke a chylde, & set him in the middes of them: & toke hym in his armes and sayde vnto them:
Be glad, O ye ryghtuous, and reioyse in the Lord, be ioyful al ye that are true of herte.
And the aunswere pleased the chyldren of Israel well, and they praysed GOD and dyd not entende to go agaynste them in battayle, to destroye the lande which the chyldren of Ruben and Gad dwelte in.
And he came by inspiration into the tempell. And when the father and mother broughte in the childe Iesus, to do for him after the custome of the lawe,
Lorde. Nowe lettest thou thy seruaunt departe in peace, accordinge to thy promes.
