Luke 18:14

I tell you: this man departed home to hys house iustifyed more then the other. For euerye man that exalteth hym selfe, shalbe brought lowe. And he that humbleth hym selfe, shalbe exalted.

For whosoeuer exalteth him selfe, shalbe broughte lowe. And he that humbleth him selfe, shalbe exalted.

And he sayde vnto them: Ye are they whiche iustifye your selues before men: but God knoweth your hertes. For that which is highly estemed amonge men, is abhominable in the syght of God.

Cast doune your selues before the Lorde, and he shal lyfte you vp.

But whosoeuer exalteth hym selfe: shalbe brought lowe, and he that humbleth hym selfe, shalbe exalted.

After pryde commeth a fal, but a lowly spirit bringeth great worshippe.

He putteth doune the mightye from their seates, and exalteth them of low degre.

For though the Lorde be hye, yet hath he respecte vnto the lowly: as for the proude, he beholdeth theim a farre of.

blessed are the pore in sprete: for theirs is the kingdom of heauen.

For thus sayeth the hye and excellent, euen he that dwelleth in euerlastingnesse, whose name is the holy one. I dwell hye aboue & in the sanctuary, and with him also, that is of a contrite & humble spirite: that I maye heale a troubled mind, & a contrite hert.

As for the scornefull, he shall laugh them to scorne, but he shal geue grace vnto the lowly.

But how may a man compared vnto God, be iustified? Or, how can he be cleane that is borne of a woman?

knowe that a man is not iustifyed by the dedes of the lawe, but by the fayth of Iesus Christe. And therfore we haue beleued on Iesus Christe that we myghte be iustifyed by the fayth of Christe, and not by the dedes of the lawe, because that by the dedes of the lawe no fleshe can be iustifyed.

To hym that worketh not, but beleueth on hym that iustifyeth the vngodly, is hys fayth counted for ryghteousnes.

because that by the dedes of the lawe, shall no fleshe be iustifyed in the syght of God. For by the lawe commeth the knoweledge of synne.

He wyllinge to iustifye hym self, sayde vnto Iesus. Who is then my neyghboure?

After pryde commeth destruccion, and honour after lowlines.

The feare of the Lord is the righte scyence of wysdome, and lowlines goeth before honure.

For who so humbleth hym selfe, him shall he set vp: and who so loketh mekely, shalbe healed.

Then she sayd: let thyne handmayde fynd grace in thy sight. And so the woman wente her waye, and dyd eate, and loked no more so sadde.

Now I knowe that the Lord is greater then al Gods, for bicause that they dealt proudly with them.

Who shall laye anye thynge to the charg of Goddes chosen? It is God that iustifieth

Because therfore that we are iustifyed by fayeth we are at peace wyth God thorowe oure Lorde Iesus Christe

Then dyd I Nabuchodonosor loue, magnifye and prayse the kynge of heauen: for all hys worckes are true, and hys wayes righte. As for those that go on proudely, he is able to brynge them doune.

Wyth trauayle and laboure of hys soule, shall he obtayne great ryches. My ryghtuous seruaunte shall wyth hys wysdome iustifye & delyuer the multitude, for he shal beare away theyr synnes,

And the whole sede of Israel shalbe iustyfyed, and praysed in the Lorde.

If I will iustifye my self, my awne mouth shall condemne me: yf I wyll put forth my selfe for a perfecte man, he shall proue me a wycked doer:

Beholde, who so wyll not beleue, hys soule shall not prospere: but the iuste shall lyue by hys fayth.

Go thou thy waye then, eate thy bread wyth ioy, and dryncke thy wyne wyth gladnesse, for thy worckes please God.

And entre not into iudgement with thy seruaunt, for in thy sighte shall no man lyuyng be iustefied.

As for these thynges, my hande had made them all, and they are all created, sayeth the Lorde. Whyche of them shall I then regarde? Euen hym, that is of a lowly troubled spyryte, and standeth in awe of my wordes.

Better is it that it be sayde vnto the: come vp hyther, then thou to be set doun in the presence of the prince whom thou seist with thine eyes.
