For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another.

Wherfore shulde ye be plaged any more? For ye are euer fallyng away. The whole head is sick, & the herte is very heauy.

Therfore wil I also make you to be despised, and to be of no reputacion among al the people, because ye haue not kepte my wayes, but bene parcial in the lawe.

Where as thou (O Lorde) lokest only vpon faythe and truthe. Thou hast scourged them, but they toke no repentaunce: thou hast correcte them for amendement, but they refused thy correccion. They made their faces harder then a stone, and woulde not amende.

But nowe are ye deliuered from synne, and made the seruauntes of God, and haue youre fruyte that ye shoulde be sanctified, & the ende euerlastynge lyfe.

And not longe after, the yonger sonne gathered all that he had together, & toke hys iorneye into a farre countrye, & there he wasted hys goodes with ryetous liuing.

I wyll caste dyrte vpon the, to make the be abhorred, and a gasyng stocke:

that thou mayest thyncke vpon it, be ashamed, and excuse thine owne confusyon no more: when I haue forgeuen the, all that thou hast done, sayeth the Lorde God.

I am wroth with him for his couetousnes and lust, I smyte him, I hyd me, and am angry, when he turneth him selfe, & foloweth the by the waye of his owne herte.

And therto in the very tyme of hys tribulacion dyd kynge Ahaz trespace yet moare agaynst the Lorde.

Then Moses and Aaron went in vnto Pharao, and sayd vnto hym: Thus sayth the Lorde God of the Hebrues: howe longe shall it be or thou wylt submit thy selfe vnto me? Let my people go that they may serue me.

Geue not that whiche is holye, to dogges nether cast ye your pearles before swyne, lest they treade them vnder theyr feete, and the other tourne agayne and al to rent you.

And when he had spent all that he had, there arose a great dearth throughout all that same lande, & he began to lacke.

And he woulde fayne haue fylled hys bellye with the codes that swyne eate. And no man gaue hym.
