And the seruaunt went and brought his mayster worde therof. Then was the good man of the house displeased, and sayed to hys seruaunt: Go oute quickly into the streates and quarters of the citie, and brynge in hyther the poore, and the maymed and the halte and the blynde.

yf thou hast compassyon vpon the hongrye, and refresshest the troubled soule: Then shall thy light sprynge oute in the darcknesse, and thy darckenesse shalbe as the noone day.

He that doeth a poore man wrong, blasphemeth hys maker: but who so hathe pytye of the poore, doeth honoure vnto God,

It pleaseth not me, tyll thou deale thy breade to the hungry, and brynge the poore fatherlesse home into thy house, when thou seyste the naked that thou couer him, and hyde not thy face from thyne owne fleshe.

Be not forgetfull to lodge straungers. For therebye haue diuers receyued Angels into theyr houses vnwares.

Therfore sayde he vnto them: go youre waye, and eate the fat, and dryncke the swete, and sende parte vnto them also that haue not prepared them selues: for this daye is holye vnto our Lorde, be not ye sory therfore: for the ioye of the Lorde is youre strength.

The seruauntes went out into the hye wayes, and gaddered together as many as they could fynde. Both good & bad, and the weddynge was furnyshed with gestes.

And thou shalte reioyce in that thy feast, both thou & thy sonne thy daughter, thy seruaunt, thy mayd, the Leuite, the straunger, the fatherles, & the widow that are in thy cities.

and well reported of in good workes: yf she haue nouryshed chyldren, yf she haue bene lyberall to straungers, yf she haue washed the saynctes fete, yf she haue mynystred vnto them whiche were in aduersitie, yf she were contynually geuen vnto all maner good workes.

And reioyce before the Lorde thy God, both thou, thy sonne, thy daughter, thy seruaunt and thy mayd, & the Leuite that is wythin thy gates, & the straunger, the fatherles & the wedowes that are among you, in the place which the lord thy god hath chosen to make hys name dwel there.

and the Leuite shall come bycause he hathe neither parte nor enheritaunce with the, and the straunger and the fatherles, and the wydowe whych are wythin thy citye and shall eate and fyll them selues: that the Lorde thy God maye blesse the in all thy worckes of thyne hand which thou doest.

He that shoulde haue bene lost, gaue me a good worde, and the wyddowes herte praysed me.

And all the people wente theyr waye to eate and drincke, and to sende parte vnto other, and to make great myrth, because they had vnderstande the wordes that were declared vnto them.

Then sayde he also to hym that had desyered hym to dyner. When thou makest a dyner or a supper: call not thy frendes, nor thy brethren, neyther thy kynsmen nor yet ryche neyghboures: least they byd the agayne, and a recompence be made the.
