And the Lorde sayd: Yf there be any faithful seruaunte and wyse, whom hys Lorde shall make ruler ouer hys housholde, to geue them theyr dutye of meate at due season:

Obeye them that haue the ouersyghte of you, and submyt your selues to them, for they watche for youre soules, euen as they that muste geue accomptes: that they maye do it wyth ioye, and not wyth griefe. For that is an vnprofytable thynge for you.

Remembre them whiche haue the ouersyght of you, whiche haue declared vnto you the worde of God. The ende of whose conuersacyon se that ye loke vpon, and folowe theyr faythe.

preache the word, be feruent, be it in season or out of season. Improue, rebuke, exhorte, wyth all long suffering and doctryne.

The elders that rule well, are worthye of double honoure, most specyally they whiche laboure in the worde and in teachynge.

As euerye man hath receyued the gifte, minister the same one to another as good mynisters of the manifolde grace of God.

For a byshoppe must be fautelesse, as it becommeth the mynister of God: not stubborne, not angrye, no dronkarde, no fyghter, not geuen to fylthy lucre:

Take hede therfore vnto youre selues, and to all the flocke wherof the holy ghoste hath made you ouersears, to rule the congregacyon of God, which he hath purchased wt hys bloude.

When euen was come, the Lorde of the vineyarde sayde vnto hys Stewarde: call the labourers, and geue them their hyer, beginning at the laste, tyll thou come to the first.

Ye haue eaten vp the fatte, ye haue clothed you wyth the wol: the best fedde haue ye slayne, but the flocke haue ye not noryshed.

The Lorde God hath geuen me a wel learned tunge, so that I can comforte them whiche are troubled, yea & that in due ceason. He waked myne eare vp by tymes in the mornynge (as the scolemasters do) that I myght herken.

O howe ioyfull a thing is it, a man to geue a conuenyente answere? O how pleasaunt is a word spoken in due season.

And Moyses verelye was faythfull in al hys house as a minyster, to beare wytnes of those thynges, whyche shoulde be spoken afterwarde.

but and yf I tarye longe, that then thou mayeste yet haue knowledge howe thou oughtest to behaue thy selfe in the housse of God, whiche is the congregacyon of the lyuynge God, the pyllar & ground of trueth.

And when the Lorde sawe her, he had compassyon on her and saide vnto her, wepe not.

Then sayd he vnto them. Therfore euery Scribe which is taught vnto the kyngdome of heauen is lyke an housholder, whiche bringeth forth, out of his treasur, thinges both new & old.

I wyll sett shepherdes also ouer them whiche shall fede them. They shall no more feare and drede, for there shall none of them be loste, sayeth the Lorde.

Who so kepeth his fyggetre, shall enioye the fruytes therof he that wayteth vpon hys master, shal come to honoure.

Vau. She is vp in the night season, to prouyde meate for her housholde, and foode for her maydens.

And Ihon called vnto him two of his discyples, and sente them to Iesus saiynge: Arte thou he that shall come? or shall we loke for another?

happy is that seruaunt: whom hys mayster when he commeth, shall fynde so doinge.

And al the wyse men that wrought all the holy worcke came euery man from his worke whyche they made,

A man shalbe commended for hys wysdome, but a fole shalbe despised.
