But this woulde she not knowe, where as I yet gaue her corne, wyne, oyle, syluer & gold, whiche she hath hangeth vpon Baal.

Lo, these are the vngodly, these prospere in the worlde, these haue ryches in possession.

And why? I was greued at the wicked, to se the vngodly in suche prosperitie.

The houses of robbers are in wealth & prosperite, and they that maliciously medle agaynst God, dwell without care: ye God geueth all thinges rychely with hys hande.

Neuerthelesse he lefte not hym selfe without wytnes, in that he shewed hys benefytes, in geuynge vs rayne from heauen, and fruteful ceasons, fyllyng our hertes with fode and gladnes.

that ye may be the chyldren of youre father that is in heauen: for he maketh his sonne to aryse on the yuyll, and on the good and sendeth his raine on the iust and vniust.

Beholde, the sinnes of thy sister Sodoma were these: Pryde, fulnesse of meate, aboundaunce and Idelnesse: these thynges had she and her doughters. Besydes that, they reached not their hande to the pore and nedy,

Parte fell in good grounde, and brought forth good frute: some an hundred fold, some sixtie folde, some thyrty folde.

Wherfore, he sayde vnto them: take hede, and beware of coueteousnes. For no mannes lyfe standeth in the abundaunce of the thynges whiche he possesseth.

and he thoughte in hym selfe sayinge: what shall I do? because I haue no roume where to bestowe my frutes?

And though they myght be safe, yet they wyll not receyue it, for their eyes loke vpon their own wayes.
