Wo be to you Pharises, for ye loue the vppermost seates in the synagoges, and gretynges in the markettes.
beware of the Scribes, whiche desyre to go in longe clothyng, & loue gretinges in the markettes, and the hyest seates in the synagoges, & chiefe roumes at feastes,
I wrote vnto the congregacion, but Diotrephes, which loueth to haue the preeminence amonge them, receiueth vs not.
that nothing be done thorowe stryfe or vaine glorye, but that in mekenes of mynde euerye man esteme other better then him selfe,
Be kynde one to another with brotherlye loue. In geuynge honoure, go one before another.
Presumptuousnes goth before destruction, & after aproud stomake ther foloweth a fall.
