And it fortuned as he was praiynge in a certayne place: when he ceased, one of hys discyples said vnto hym: Mayster, teache vs to praye, as Iohn taught his disciples.

Yea the words of my mouth and the meditacion of my herte shalbe acceptable vnto the, O Lorde, my helper and my redemer.

But ye dearely beloued, edifye your selues in your moste holy faythe, praying in the holye ghost,

And it furtuned in those dayes that he went out into a mountaine for to praye, and contynued all night in prayer to God.

And it fortuned as he was alone praiynge: his disciples were with him, and he axed them saiyng: Who saye the people that I am?

Which in the daies of his flesh did offer vp praiers and supplications, wyth strong criynge and teares, vnto him that was able to saue hym from death, and was also hearde because of his Godlines.

And it folowed about an .viij. dayes after those saiynge: that he toke Peter, Iames, and Iohn, and went vp into a mountaine to pray.

Lord, thou hearest the desyrous longing of the poore: theyr hert is sure, that thine eare herkeneth therto.

And when the Lorde sawe her, he had compassyon on her and saide vnto her, wepe not.

And Ihon called vnto him two of his discyples, and sente them to Iesus saiynge: Arte thou he that shall come? or shall we loke for another?

verelye one is nedefull. Marye hath chosen her that good part whiche shall not be taken away from her.

And he sayde vnto them: When ye pray saye: O oure father whiche arte in heauen, halowed be thy name. Thy kyngedome come. They will be fulfylled euen in earthe as it is in heauen.
